Dawn and sunset times of the day are of course favoured by landscape photographers so I could have been disappointed when arriving on Findhorn beach at 0400 to be greeted with heavy cloud and light drizzle! However expectation in landscape photography is something I have learned to manage over the years and I try to work with what is available to me. Although I was not able to view any spectacular colours or indeed even see the sun, there could still be a visible colour shift at sunrise. Sure enough that happened and the photograph above hopefully illustrates that. Maybe there really is a 'magic hour'!
