Awarded 1st. place in the Scottish Landscape – Sea & Coast category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2018. The awards provide an excellent platform for photographers to showcase their Scottish work. I saw the snow squall moving inland from the Moray Firth, envisaged the final outcome, composed the photograph and waited for the squall to move into position and balance my composition. Thankfully the light held just long enough for this to happen.
